General - Frequently Asked Questions

Is the competition open to international participants?

Yes, all Arquitectum competitions are international in nature unless specified. So participants from any country unless restricted by international embargo can register, pay the relevant fees and submit a proposal.

How do I participants pay the relevant registration fees?

Participants can pay the relevant registration fees using a Paypal account or a credit or debit card.

Are registration fees refundable, if I change my mind about participating in a competition and submitting a proposal?

No. Any registration fees paid during the competition registration process to enter a competition are refundable. So carefully consider the topic, requirement and the deadline before registering.

IS THERE A BRIEF FOR THE COMPETITION

Yes, all competitions have an accompying brief documentation.

Is there additional CAD and photographs files associated with the brief for the competition

Yes, most competitions are released with CAD files and additional information which can be downloaded after registration payment is made. However, the brief is free to download and consider the competition topic.

Can a participant or team submit more than one proposals?

Yes. However, each proposal per registration. This means each proposal would require a separate registration with each registration assigned a unique registration number.

Can a team change members information?

Yes, teams have one opportunity to member and can be done up to the point of proposal submission deadline.

Are competitions participation only open to licensed architects?

No. Arquitectum competitions are open to licensed architects, graduate architects, students and multi-disciplinary teams.

What time and time zone are all deadlines?

All deadlines are 23:59 (GMT) of the specified date unless stated otherwise.

How many members can you have in a participation team?

Teams may comprise of a maximum of 4 (four) members.

Can an AI-generated proposal or images be part of a proposal submission?

Yes. However, we advise it is based on your own proprietary model, pre-existing work or algorithm. And where an external or open source tool is used that you carefully license, legalities on ownership and terms of use. 

Where can I find my unique registration number?

Your Unique Registration Number (URN) is the same as your order number which means you can always easily refer to it.
